Natural Ways to Prevent Getting the Flu

Everywhere you look whether it be magazines, newspapers, or the evening news you are hearing about the flu. They are recommending you get a vaccination to prevent from getting the flu. Some people are not comfortable with vaccinations. There are things you can do naturally to help prevent you from getting sick with illnesses such as the flu.


Begin by getting enough sleep each night. I know this can be difficult with all of our responsibilities, but it is very important to your health. Your immune system becomes compromised when your body is lacking sleep.


Next be sure you eat a diet consisting primarily of fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains, and other high fiber items. Also include fresh garlic, pearl barley and kelp into your diet. Eat organic food whenever possible as pesticides can deplete food of nutrients. 

Make sure you keep active. Perform moderate exercise each day. However, don't overdo it. Too much exercise can actually weaken your immune system. 


Visit your chiropractor. Make sure your body is properly aligned and free from any nervous system stress caused by subluxations in the spine.

These tips will help keep you healthy and avoid the flu.

These are great tips, as a parent I am looking for all natural ways of preventing the flu. I do not want to use the vaccine.
